Chris Lopez holds degrees in electrical engineering and engineering physics, and works in the tech industry in the heart of Silicon Valley. He spends his time writing, building things, and telling his wife and kids silly jokes. He adores intricate, detailed storytelling that gets him believing in a magic system or fanciful technology as much as its characters. He’s also a sucker for sentences that deliver a plot twist or gut-punch he didn’t see coming. His sci-fi manuscript, The Island of Machines, was the winning entry in the 2024 SFWC writing contest.
